Altitude: 1,100 to 1,500 masl
Arabica Varietals: Typica, Bourbon and Catuai
Process: Washed
Rainfall: Annual rainfall 1,400 to 1,950 mm
Temperature: Ranges between 14 C to 21 C
Harvest: Mid-November to mid-March
Crop year: 2018-19
In the cup: Good body with delicate acidity. Notes of berry, red apple, cranberry, grapes, toffee, chocolate and almond.
 
Located in the department of Intibucá, San Juan lies in the center of the “Lenca Trail” which runs from Santa Rosa de Copan to Marcala, La Paz. The primary source of income for community members comes from the numerous coffee farms that can be found throughout the region.Coffee is picked by hand during the day the day and the end of the day de-pulping process is applied followed by fermentation process in concrete piles for about 12-18 hours.
