This excellent 90 point coffee was grown by Nelson Hurtado on his farm. Nelson has picked coffee for as long as he can remember. He used to travel around Antioquia aiming to work with the most productive farms in order to eb able to pick more cherries (pickers are often paid by the kilogram). Nelson arrived to Gaitania 15 years ago to work as a picker. Five years ago he was able to purchase his own farm with his savings. Nelson loves animals and does what he can to encourage bird and animal life by increasing the number of trees on his farm.
Gaitania is located 40km southwest of the remote town of Planadas, Tolima. Coffees from this region are known to be citric and fruity.
