About Nyeri & Embu counties:
Nyeri County is renowned for its cool temperatures and fertile central highlands, both of which contribute to creating unique and delicious coffees. The area lies between the Eastern base of the Aberdare (Nyandarua) Range, which forms part of the Eastern end of the Great Rift Valley, and the Western slopes of Mount Kenya.
Embu Country is located south-east of Nyeri County, bordering the southern slopes of Mount Kenya. The county is characterised by ranging landscapes, with altitudes ranging from 515 – 4570 masl, and has six major rivers flowing through it which provide fresh water for crops and its population.
