This coffee is harvested following strict ripeness criteria, floated, and hand-sorted to remove any defects. The coffee is then exposed to a 3-day fermentation in bags. After this stage, coffee was pulped and gently washed. The coffee was sun-dried for 15 days.
Veronica is the daughter of Elmer Mego, a coffee producer in Cajamarca. She has been actively involved in managing part of her father’s farm, located at 1850 meters above sea level. This lot represents an exciting opportunity to showcase the next generation of coffee producers in Peru. Her hands-onexperience will be invaluable as she eventually steps into a
leadership role in the family enterprise.
