Description

Location: San Sebastián village, Lempira Region, Honduras
Farm: Finca LA LAGUNA,
Processing: Fully Washing.
Altitude: 1600-1800 masl
Varietal: yellow pacas (a variety of bourbon)
Shade trees: Guamo, Lesquín, Pine, Oranges.
Producer: Marta Licida Vásquez

In the cup: jasmine tea, honey, berry jam, caramel. Strawberry cream. Vanilla. Toffee

Background: Intibuca is the most mountainous region in Honduras with the Cordilleras range rising up to 3000 metres above sea level.

Marta Vasquez, lives in the community of San Sebastián which is located in the department of Lempira, Honduras. She owns her farm lots in the communities of Carrizal Center and San Jose del Pito and produces varieties such as Paca Rojo, Paca Amarillo and Catuai.

The area is characterized by its dry climate at harvest time. The coffee is pulped onsite at the various farms. it is in fermentation tanks an average of 13 hours. The coffee is then transported to her home where is dried in concrete yards.
