The people of Guji, located in the southern portion of Sidamo, have a long tradition of coffee cultivation and they are known as the Oromo people. The hills and landscape allow for particular cultivars to develop in this region. The plantation where the Oromo people work is a collection of smallholder farmers that work to develop sustainable production and economic outcomes.
