I can write my review now that I have safely secured 5kg of this bean. One of the best I’ve ever roasted. When you get the roast right, you are rewarded with the aroma of freshly baked blueberry muffins every time you open up the jar to make a brew. It has a nice creamy mouthfeel and tastes like sweet blueberry jam on banana bread. Great for adding to an espresso blend where you want to maintain a full body (mix it with a Brazilian and a wet hulled Indo and you’re done).
Roasting can be a little tricky as there is no clear point at which the first crack ends and the second crack begins (this can often happen with Natural processed beans). If you go too dark, you lose those wonderful blueberry notes, so I stop the roast just as the first crack is almost completely done.
