Great Coffee
by Ben on 7/04/15
A real great coffee. I enjoy it most by blending 2 batches (50/50), one batch just before 2nd crack and the second batch just into second crack. In my opinion it's at its best as a darker roaster.
Nice full flavoured coffee

This is a nice full flavoured coffee that kept improving a week after roasting and is tasty as a single origin coffee.

I had no trouble hearing first and second crack on my Behmor Plus. I reduced the roasting temperature by 50% at first crack (by pressing P3) to roast more gently to second crack.

A little effort will be rewarded

This bean was a bit tricksy to roast in my popper. There were hardly any audible signs of first/second crack. I roasted it based on the colour of the beans, and roasted for a lot longer than I'd usually roast.

As a doppio espresso on day 2, it had a lovely choc-berry aroma. The first sip was sweet/acid with a creamy mouthfeel and good syrupy body. Flavours of banana, butterscotch and almond.
Go-to bean

Great for darker roasts and espresso shots - interesting profile as noted in other reviews.
A Beautiful PNG
by Andrew on 3/09/13
It's got a bit of everything this bean! Works beautifully as an espresso, has the acidity to cut through the milk, even delightful in an affogato with cold press ice cream. The fruity almost floral aroma that came off in the grinder starts you anticipating the taste of the espresso nicely. Lovely bean to roast (don't walk away from it though) and enjoy.
Quite Enjoyable!

The roasting notes are spot on. Very nice just into second crack, but handling the darker (gentle though!) roasts also.
A touch of cinnamon through a creamy butterscotch. You'll have to be patient for this though - give it 4 days to settle. (still very nice early on too!)
Very reliable

Always consistent and pretty easy to roast within a wide spectrum. Choc-malt and a hint of spice. Enjoyed in an brew method by myself and all i roast it for!

This is a perfect 'stand-alone' single origin cup. There is a lot in these small beans. Also well suited to high-grade espresso blend use, where this Peaberry, brings forward unique flavour complexities in a blend.
It balances well with other origins for a lively blend.
Highly aromatic, exotic flavours and silky smooth textures abound. Chocolate notes.
