I normally purchase organics and roast my own but I received a roasted sample of the Kagumo from Ministry Grounds with the Aeropress I purchased. Intensely floral and fruity with great acidity, it surely is a coffee to remember!
Delicious winey coffee

This is is a delicious African coffee! Roasts very evenly due to its large well graded beans, but it definitely needs all the heat you can give it and then some to get beyond first crack! Despite a good preheat boost, my roast started to stall at 203 degrees right after first crack, and I had to shield my roaster to keep it rising! Dropped it at 205 with a very happy light-medium roast. After a 5+ days it's brightness balances out into a delicious red winey, deep fruit full bodied coffee that loves a tight ristretto shot. Definitely worth letting this one rest, just like a good red. The body holds up well in milk, however it's not overly sweet so would go well as a small percentage in a blend with the Brazil Daterra. Next time I might be a little more prepared and roast a little darker so I don't have to be so patient to drink it ;) Highly recommend.

In the cup: Clean cup with stone fruit acidity and big body. Good  brightness and  hints of shiraz and notes of grape come through with a syrupy cup.
